Alto Pass , IL , United States

On the western side of the Shawnee Wine Trail, we are just outside Alto Pass and close to Bald Knob Cross of Peace. Cave Creek Cabins are located between Pomona Natural Bridge and Trail of Tears State Parks. Close to great hiking at the Little Grand Canyon or good fishing at Cedar Lake. Cedar Lake also has a great hiking trail around the lake with beautiful views, bluffs and a waterfall after the rain. If you are a thrill seeker, there is a great Zip Line Adventure close by in the Shawnee or learn to repel in Giant City State Park. You could go horseback riding or take a pottery class at nearby Alto Pass Clay Works. Enjoy the harvest bounty from our neighbors at the Rendleman Orchard Farm Store, where you can get fresh picked produce (or maybe just some famous apple cider donuts) in season. Did you know there was a Darn Hot Pepper farm and a lavender farm close by? There are also several good golf courses in our region. And in the summer you could take in a Southern Illinois Miners baseball game. On August 21, 2017, join us in Southern Illinois for prime viewing of the total Eclipse. So in addition to the great wineries and growing number of breweries, there are a lot of activities to enjoy in Southernmost Illinois. Come and visit us soon.

Date of Stay:

This weekend was my 2nd visit to Cave Creek cabins and this will always be my go to place! The cabins are perfect! Very nicely done with everything you need. Great set up and the location can’t be beat. Beautiful setting with great outdoor space. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a get away!

This place was amazing!

Date of Stay:

This place was amazing! We stayed here for our 45th wedding anniversary along with our dear friends celebrating their 36th anniversary. Nothing was left out of this cabin, everything was top notch. We stayed in cabin 2. Roger was so very nice and professional to talk to. Give this place a try. You will not be disappointed

Spacious and Beautifully built!

Date of Stay:

Very spacious and beautifully built cabins. Quiet and serene off of the main road. All the necessities are included in the cabin. Great for a getaway with the family, but it was actually just my husband and I this time around. We had more room than we could have possibly needed at a very reasonable price.

Very nice!

Date of Stay:

Appreciated the homey touches such as shampoo in the shower. Nicely stocked with a full kitchen and satellite TV. Beautiful location!

Date of Stay:

Lovely secluded setting. Quality furnishings, decor well stocked. Superb linens!! Everything top notch.

Great location, nice new cabin

Date of Stay:

The location of the cabins is in a perfect area to enjoy the wine trail, the Bald Knob Cross and have access to good restaurants and food within a short drive. The cabins are beautiful and truly have everything you need! There is a large selection of utensils and cookware if you want to cook. The layout of the cabin is perfect for couples or two families and is very secluded. The sounds of the creek and the breeze through the trees make sitting on the large deck such a relaxing experience. No better place to have your morning coffee! This is glamping at it's best!
